i had an amzing christmas eve. together with two other germans and a swedish girl, I was eating red carbage and swedish meatballs, flatbeans with bacon around it and three kinds of potatos. awesome. after that went out partying hard til 5 o clock in the morning. it was stunning. i ve never been that drunk on christmas eve. the next day, visited my taupo family, had a huge breakfast and at 1 pm we started our bbq on a sunddeck with a view over the lake to the mountains, and i saw snow:) maybe more then u:)
me and mary left taupo on boxing day hitch hiked 350 k's to Gisborne and checked ion in the best hotel of the world. i had the phone number of a 65 years old woman, she offered us a bed and food for free, she was giving us liftas in town, etc. it was like living at grandmas place, so she is our granny heather.
i worked over the next days at the bw - campgrounds, campgrounds that presented there own festival and were then campgrounds for the rhythm and vines festival, the biggest festival new zealands btw. i worked as a cleaner. saw the whole first festival for free and got paid and the campground sleeping for free as well. then i got fired but it was alright without any reason. but i bought a ticket for the last day of the festival and saw the first sunrise of the year at the beah. had as the first new year . saw amazing acts and an awesome firework. kissed stranger. and had an amazing time.
after that i was sleeping for days. i had heat stroke cause of the awful camping without shade. but in the end it was the best new years ever!!!
